THE EUROTHREAD LIFT

ABOUT  EUROTHREADS

EuroThreads are resorbable surgical sutures composed of biodegradable polymers. The treatment is minimally invasive and produces instant results. Polydioxanone (PDO) sutures are used for biomedical applications, particularly in cardiothoracic surgery because it is fully absorbed by hydrolysis within 4 to 6 months and doesn’t create any scar tissue. The foreign body stimulates collagen synthesis and the skin structure created will hold for 12 to 15 months.

How Does It Work

Eurothreads are dissolvable threads that are placed under the skin to achieve lifting of the cheeks, the jowls and the neck bands. These threads are comprised of polydioxanone (PDO), the same material that has being used for surgical procedures for 30 years. The threads are inserted, and when the needle is withdrawn, the thread remains under the skin. Eurothreads stimulate the formation of collage, which gives the skin elasticity and diminishes the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. This improves the skin’s quality and texture over time, while also lifting and adding volume volume to areas that have laxity. The suture material gradually breaks down over a period of 6-8 months; however, the results typically continue to last for up to a year and a half.

WHAT ARE AREAS CAN BE TREATED?

EuroThreads have demonstrated benefits in all areas of the face and neck. The most dramatic improvement typically is achieved in the lower third of the face and neck by lifting sagging cheeks and jowls to create smoother, more youthful looking contours. EuroThreads can be used to improve the following areas:

-Fine lines and Wrinkles
-Saggy cheeks
-Loose or saggy neck area
-Peri-Oral Lines (Smoker lines)
-A saggy Jawline and jowls
-Neck lines, sometimes called “necklace lines”
-Vermillion Border or Lip
-Décolletage

HOW LONG DOES THE PROCEDURE TAKE?

The duration of the EuroThread Lift varies, depending on the areas to be treated. The procedure can take as little as 15 minutes, while more complex procedures may take up to an hour or longer.

WHAT IS THE RECOVERY LIKE?

This varies among individuals, but the EuroThread Lift generally requires little to no downtime.  Swelling, soreness,  and minor bruising is common following the procedure.
